Pluto, planet of transformation, death and rebirth, upheaval and what’s hidden moves into Capricorn, sign of hard work and success, for good on Wednesday, Nov 26, 2008 where it will reside until 2024. We had our first go-round with Pluto in Capricorn from February until mid-June so think back – what was happening in your life during those months? That was a preview of what’s to come now.
Pluto goes deep and is like a detective, bringing up shadowy energies that we might not want to look at – and creates upheaval to undo stale, old structures. Capricorn is all about structure, security, rules and regulations, and authority.
You can imagine the scenario when the planet of transformation is in the sign of structure – all the old structures are up for review and those that are no longer relevant or working will be transformed. This means a breakdown and a rebuild which is ultimately for the greater good, but it’s usually dark before the dawn which can bring stressful situations.
In the mid-80’s to mid-90’s Pluto was in Scorpio (sex, death) when we had the aids epidemic and when Pluto went into Sagittarius (religion, belief systems) we had the Priest sex abuse scandal and religious fanaticism was highlighted.
As Pluto moves into Capricorn our corporate culture and the business world in general is undergoing upheaval and transformation, as well as our government Pluto deals with issues of power and powerlessness, Capricorn deals with issues of security and discipline, as well as authority and the misuse of authority. We will experience disruption and breakdowns as Pluto upsets the status quo wherever people and systems are not in integrity. Watch the show to see how this story unfolds.
We will experience Pluto in Capricorn collectively and you will experience it personally, as you have Capricorn in your personal astrology chart and Pluto will be there for years. This will be the area of your life that will be undergoing transformation, so wherever that is, be prepared to release that which needs to go. It shouldn’t be that hard to figure out, as Pluto is not subtle! Trust that you are being taken care of, especially when it feels like things are falling apart (this is the “undoing” phase of Pluto). I liken it to a demolition and subsequent rebuild with a stronger, more empowered, authentic foundation.
Remember, there are old structures that are stale and need to go, so ultimately it is a good thing. Pluto in Capricorn will not allow shortcuts or half-baked schemes, so make sure that you have solid, well thought-out plans from which to build when you are in creation mode.
