Jupiter/Mercury Direct, Full Moon in Aries – October 2021
Pluto and Saturn went Direct on Oct 6 and 10 respectively, and this week Jupiter and Mercury will join them, as we continue in a major energetic turnaround, prepping for actual progress closer to Nov.
We kick off Oct 15 with an upbeat Sun-Jupiter trine, that is great for a a getaway to view fall foliage, to gather with friends or make plans for expanding your world going forward. This is part of the Jupiter Station, as it encourages freedom and transmits messages of possibilities and hope. Let this lift you up and use it to get a glimpse of what’s possible for your future.
The feeling of well being continues on Oct 16, as Mercury sextiles Venus, supporting warm, uplifting conversations and connections. However, it’s followed by a Sun-Pluto square on Oct 17, indicating a power struggle or intense negotiation. Weigh your options carefully, watch your boundaries and notice how you manage your power, as Pluto issues will be front and center later in the week.
On Oct 18, Jupiter and Mercury both turn Direct, influencing projects or plans that will start moving in the weeks to come. Jupiter is likely connected to something meaningful that you have been contemplating or working on for a while – a project, a vision or goal that’s either been stalled or slow. Pay attention to new openings and connections that unfold to show you a path forward.
Mars trines Jupiter on Oct 18, making you hot to trot, but because Mercury is standing still, be sure you have all the info when making plans or purchases. Even though you feel ready, it’s still early, so wait if you can. You can prepare, but give yourself at least a week before you commit to anything major. Mercury will bring new info to light in the days ahead, which can change the playing field – and giving yourself extra time will serve you well.
On Oct 20 @ 7:57am PDT we have a Full Moon in Aries, which represents the I-Thou principle. How do you get your needs met while you are in relationship – and can you create a win-win? This would be the ideal setup for Libra, but this Full Moon has Mars (Ruler of Aries) square Pluto, indicating an intense desire for power and control, or at worst, emotional manipulation or sudden outbursts of rage or aggression. Tread lightly and mind your boundaries.
The task at hand is to assess your ability to take action and be assertive without being a steamroller vs. your willingness to compromise without sacrificing your needs. Check in to see what needs adjusting to balance your yin and yang energies, therefore making you more effective in your life as well as in the world.
Whatever you’re attracting that you don’t want is mirroring some part of you that is unconscious, and you’ve called it in to awaken you. Pluto squares Mars on Oct 21/22, and if you experience oppressive people or circumstances, slow down and do some detective work to see how your behavior played in to setting that up.
Have you given up your power and called in a bully or gaslighter to reflect that? Or are you the dominant player? These are just two sides of one coin and Pluto brings power struggles and hidden agendas so you don’t know what’s going on. If you’re confronted with this energy, I suggest you go within to discern what part you are playing in the drama – and get help if needed.
Issues around power are insidious and our culture thrives on creating conflict in order to control people. Recovering balance – whether you’re the dominant one or the people-pleaser – will change your life and it’s so worth exploring. Being out of balance, no matter which side you’re on, is painful and unproductive. Wholeness speaks to balance. Yes and yes.
This is an opportunity to regroup and rebalance aspects of Self needed to move forward as the four planets that have turned Direct in the past two weeks prepare for their journey in later 2021/2022.
Keep your attention on your visions, goals, dreams and Inner Knowing. There’s so much more to come going forward, but for now, we are in the great turnaround. Allow Jupiter to expand your world and inspire a BIG vision for your future!
As always, I am grateful for your presence on our journey together. xo
