Dec 31, ’09 – Blue Moon/Lunar Eclipse in Cancer
Tonight we experience the grand finale of 2009 – and we go out with a bang! On New Years Eve we have a Blue Moon (2nd Full Moon in Dec) Lunar Eclipse in Cancer. Cancer is the sign of needs, home, family, your emotional self and nurturing.
Lunar Eclipses are about endings, so what needs to end for you? It may be a completion, something you’ve outgrown or a non-working pattern that you’re finally ready to let go of. Know that if something leaves your life, it’s either the outpicturing of an inner desire or the Universe clearing something that’s blocking you from your highest good. The ending can happen at any time around the Eclipse so pay attention.
Regarding your needs, check in with yourself – what do you need in order to flourish physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually? I recomend that you get clear about what you need to feel safe, to feel fulfilled, to feel valued/valuable, to feel inspired and to feel happy. You can’t get your needs met if you don’t know what they are. Your care is your responsibility, so please take impeccable care of yourself!
The Sun, Mercury, Venus, Pluto, and the North Node of destiny are all in Capricorn, the sign of career, commitment, discipline, authority and the structures in your life. This is a good time to evaluate your professional and personal life to see if they are in balance. What needs correction or adjustment? We are in Mars and Mercury Regtrograde, so this is a good time to plan and make course corrections for 2010.
Here’s the astrological line-up for Dec ’09 through early ’10:
* Mars (action/will) Retrograde from Sun, Dec 20th-March 10th
* Mercury (communication) Retrograde from Dec 26th-Jan 15th
* Lunar Eclipse on Dec 31st – an important ending
* Saturn (structure/career) Retrograde from Jan 13th-May 30th
* Solar Eclipse/Mercury Direct on Jan 15th – a turbo-charged new beginning!
Let 2010 be the year that you release yourself from bondage and create the life of your dreams. I wish you joyful creations and extraordinary care!
