Guess what happens when you decide to “break the family myth” and take a leap forward in your life? Everything that’s out of alignment pops up to tell you “NO!” – or even more insidious, a little voice in your head whispers all the good reasons why you shouldn’t ________ (fill in the blank).

This little voice pretends to be your Higher Self (here to keep you safe), but in reality it’s your shadow, here to keep you small, stuck, stagnant or limited so that you maintain the family myth.

What is the family myth? It’s the story you grew up with about who you are that was mirrored back to you over and over. Maybe it was said out loud or maybe it was a non-verbal message you picked up about yourself.

You may have released some of the family myth or much of it – or maybe you still believe that you are who they said you were. Maybe you still believe certain things about yourself that limit you. Are you trapped in some old family role, belief or behavior that isn’t really your highest truth?

There is SO much more to you than the limited family story of who you are.

Here’s the deal: when you try to break the family myth, there is a powerful unconscious drive to pull you back and that’s the way your unconscious keeps you connected to your family – and you don’t know that’s what’s happening!

But like a chick ready to hatch – when you outgrow your shell, the need to expand will outweigh the desire to cling to security and you’ll be ready to move forward.

I am here to guide you through that process (wherever you are) in the gentlest way. This is an encouragement zone with good, orderly direction.

This will be a nonlinear experience – so warm and smooth that the teachings will wash over you and sink in with profound results, so the loving voice becomes part of your consciousness. We continue in the energy of Pluto, planet of transformation and upheaval – or the death of your false Self and the birth of your Authentic Self. Yes, there are parts of you in operation that have been indoctrinated by family, community, culture as well as your country – behaviors, beliefs, opinions and attitudes that you have adopted, rather than choosing consciously.

Is it shocking to consider this? You were taught from a young age what to believe and what was acceptable – and then you live your life either following directions or rebelling against them, or some combination of the two.

If you were blessed to have parents who were secure enough to encourage you to think for yourself, you may have learned to examine your feelings and desires in order to make choices that were authentic for you. This is so rare, I don’t know many people who had that experience.

As a conscious adult, you continue to discover layers of beliefs, behaviors and ways of operating that aren’t working for you. When you have a Pluto experience, the planet of transformation either brings up non-working patterns or tears down shaky or outdated structures in your life.

Although it may not feel like it in the moment, this is a gift because it’s like having a neon sign pointing out: “NOT WORKING, NOT WORKING!” You don’t have to be a genius to discern where the problem is!

Pluto is squaring Uranus (the rebel, revolutionary, innovator), so think of the “Occupy Wall Street” people – this is the energy of the Pluto/Uranus square. They’re mad as hell and they’re not going to take it any more! Where is this happening in your life? What have you been putting up with that just feels intolerable now? This is your own personal “protest” area!

Here’s what to do:

• Step 1 – Get clear about what’s not working because you must identify what needs correction.

• Step 2 – Decide on your next step to move forward. It’s hard to have a plan if you don’t know where you’re going, so just feel into what’s the next right thing for you.

• Step 3 – Commit to doing whatever is necessary to move forward in your life. It is time. Baby steps count – and they won’t freak you out or overwhelm you. Find the rhythm that’s right for you.

Just take some action – and please get help. You can’t guide yourself through new territory with your old thinking!

The cluster of Aquarian energy, as the Sun, Mars, and Mercury continue their travel together, has the potential to express as rebellion, restlessness and/or a radical break from the usual.

The unrest in Egypt is an illustration of this, but what about your life? Are you feeling the need to break out of a rut – or is there stale energy that needs a shakeup?

This energy can also be channeled into eliciting your most brilliant, genius work, so focus on what you can create, rather than what/who you can fight. Or, if a confrontation feels in order to you, choose wisely and operate as diplomatically as possible. Saturn (authority) in Libra (partnership) can help with that.

At the same time, the extremely intense Venus-Pluto conjunction is ending, which releases you from the overwhelming drive to satisfy your deepest desires (or obsessions), whether they’re good for you or not. Pluto/Venus often awakens less  than healthy drives within – shadowy energies that work against you, so maintain discipline and think things through before you act.

Pluto Square Jupiter

Pluto (power) is squaring Jupiter (expansion) for the rest of February, so please be mindful of control issues and ethics in your quest to achieve your

goals. This energy can create a monster if you don’t keep your ego in check, so  stay in your Higher Self.

Lower expressions of Pluto squaring Jupiter can lead you to rationalize inconvenient truths so that you feel free to go to any lengths to achieve your goals. If you abandon your integrity in order to “win” or to achieve success, you have gone unconscious and you’re heading down a slippery slope.

Jupiter is the planet that represents higher truth, integrity, high ideals, expansion and the big picture. It also wants more, more, more – and with Pluto in hard aspect, that can be a recipe for temptation and ultimately trouble, so don’t go overboard!

The highest expression of Pluto-Jupiter is tremendous ambition, extraordinary commitment and the ability to accomplish great work with focused intensity.

However, you MUST hold yourself to your highest standards if you feel tempted to violate your own morals, convictions, or ethics (all ruled by Jupiter) in order to be free and stay in the Light.

Chiron in Pisces ~ Feb 8, ’11 to ’19

Did you feel the energy shift as Chiron moved into sensitive, gentle Pisces on Tuesday? It may have been overshadowed by the intensity of Pluto/Venus, but it will be here now for almost ten years.

With Chiron (the wounded healer and spiritual teacher) in Pisces we can express greater empathy, compassion and the experience of connection to All That Is, or the knowing that All Are One.

I can’t emphasize enough how our world will be radically transformed as we move from judgment to compassion. Not only can you change the world – but you can change your life by breathing in love and light – and breathing out judgment and negativity when you find yourself in the mental spin cycle.

It requires discipline to stay conscious and keep your heart open. When you go into your head and start having mental conversations with yourself (and others), drop  into your heart in order to connect with your center or Higher Self.

The New Earth requires a high level of functioning from  you, but oh, it is SO worth it!!

Any decisions, commitments made or actions taken from that time until now will be up for review. Rather than resisting, get on board and be willing to go within and get clear about what needs reviewing, revising, or tweaking and revamp anything in your life that needs correction.

On the Winter Solstice we will have a Lunar Eclipse at 29 degrees of Gemini, which is going to be a major ending or the culmination of something – but whatever it is, it will be BIG! I’ll tell you more about this next week, but for now, focus on all the Retrograde activities that I list in my FREE Report (above left margin).

Mercury will be traveling back and forth over the Galactic Center of the Universe (the Black Hole, or center of the Milky Way), which is a portal for higher frequencies and powerful forces of expansion. It connects exactly on Dec 18, right before the Lunar Eclipse. Stay tuned for downloads, new insights, perceptions, or information to appear that will alter your path in perhaps momentous ways.

I suggest that you don’t plan too many activities during the holidays, as that is a setup for drama and stress if you overdo it. You know your limits. Love yourself and treat yourself with care.

We will begin 2011 with all the planets in Direct motion for three weeks, which is a rare occurrence. Know that this Retrograde period is preparation for what you will bring forth in the New Year. It couldn’t be more MAJOR!

After moving through the wormhole over the summer (the Eclipses and Cardinal Cross) into your New Reality and finding your “sea legs,” then revising that which needed correction during Mercury Retrograde, it is now time for the next wave of activity – if I had to give it a name, I’d call it The Start of Something New.

On the Fall Equinox (Wed, Sept 22nd at 11:09pm ET), we begin the Fall season so focus your energy, set your intentions and decide what you will create. Then do some ritual to support the manifestation of your vision, in addition to taking practical actions. (FYI – writing your intentions is a ritual in case you need a suggestion.)

The Full Moon in Aries occurs right after the Equinox – on Thurs, Sept 23rd at 5:17am ET. The Full Moon is when things come to light and it’s also the culmination of things. The emotional energy has been amping up as always approaching a Full Moon, and tensions may run high, so easy does it.

Aries is the maverick, the pioneer, the warrior, and with this energy, you want it YOUR way - direct, energetic and action-oriented. Libra is the other-oriented, sign of peace, harmony, balance and beauty. Libra is “the mirror,” who desires compromise, connection and loves a win-win (a Libra dream come true!)

The task at hand is to assess your ability to take action and be assertive without being a steamroller vs. your willingness to compromise without sacrificing your own needs. Check in with yourself and see what needs adjusting so that your masculine/feminine aspects are in balance, therefore making you more effective in your life as well as in the world.

Whatever you’re attracting in your life that you don’t like is mirroring some part of you that’s unconscious, and you’ve called it in to awaken you. Pluto is squaring the Equinox and Full Moon, so when people or aspects of life feel oppressive, slow down and check in with yourself.

Have you given up your power and called in a bully or manipulator to reflect that? Or are you the dominant  player? These are just two sides of one coin and Pluto often brings power struggles. If you’re confronted with this energy, don’t engage. I suggest you withdraw and go within to discern what part you play in this drama.

As Dr. Phil says, “You can’t fix what you don’t acknowledge.” You may discover that you are operating in ways that surprise or even horrify you – not at all what you intended – but don’t resist the information. Awareness provides you with the opportunity to heal shadow energy – and please seek help if you aren’t able to correct it yourself.

Jupiter (expansion), Uranus (change) and the Moon (home/needs) oppose the Sun on the Equinox and Full Moon, indicating a strong drive for freedom and authenticity wherever you feel trapped by life circumstances. Be brave and make those revolutionary changes – take the conscious leap!

As you begin this new season honor yourself and treasure your relationships. All is in Divine order.

When you are out of alignment, things seem to either stop or go awry, which is a signal to take a “time out” to reassess your direction and actions. When you’re in the flow, you move through life with ease and grace and it feels Divine!

Here are some of the major players in the current planetary picture:

Neptune is heavily featured these days, as it rules the oceans and the oil spill off the Louisiana coast. Today dreamy Neptune, (planet of illusion) opposes Mars (planet of action and will), meaning that you may feel overly emotional, be confused or you may not be seeing clearly (but you won’t know it). Or you may not feel like doing much of anything at all.

After all, Neptune is also the planet of Being, not doing. It’s great for creativity, intuition, connecting with Spirit, nature and all living things. I suggest getting a second opinion if you have to make any major business decisions  – or decisions with long-term consequences.

Uranus, (change, revolution, the unexpected), is in warrior/maverick, hot-to-trot Aries until Aug 13th and this shakes up the status quo for us all, either within or externally – or both! Uranus in Aries is ready to go and won’t take “No” for an answer. It’s more like, “Come with me or get out of my way!”

This can bring about innovative, brilliant actions and solutions and/or uncooperative, willful behavior that is  impulsive or rebellious. Remember, there are higher and lower expressions for every channel of energy and you have the power to choose the expression that you want to embody.

Jupiter, (expansion, higher truth, good fortune) is leaving gentle Pisces and moving into fiery Aries on June 6th. Jupiter is traveling near Uranus this week and they will be at the same exact degree from June 8-14, but they’ll be close to one another throughout June. Expect the unpredictable Uranian energy to be magnified exponentially!

I call Jupiter-Uranus “Lotto” energy - when anything can happen, like a fabulous unexpected opportunity that you never would have predicted! I have this combo in my birth chart and let me tell you, it can create magic, so get out there and mingle – things happen when you put yourself in the mix, either virtually or in person!

Again, this can be expressed in higher or lower energies so focus and direct your energy to facilitate your genius and most visionary, positive Self!  This, at its best, is ‘Law of Attraction’ energy – Jupiter is so positive things will work out well, with such conviction and commitment to the vision, intentions very often do manifest  as requested – even when details are overlooked or ideas seem far-fetched. You create what you believe and no planet is more optimistic than Jupiter on a good day!

We are moving into new territory and uncharted waters and you are being asked to step up, step out and make bold changes. This is so individual for each person, depending on which aspects of your life are highly developed  and satisfying and what is undeveloped that’s calling for attention. This is your personal check-in.

Seek your development, healing and evolution – keep going, keep striving – the world needs you in the highest expression of your gifts! The New Moon is the time for new beginnings – to take action directed toward what you want to increase, create or call into your life.

Taurus is a fixed Earth sign – stable with deep roots, so take this opportunity to ground yourself and decide what you want to create from this place. We are in the midst of changing energies that will only get more lively as we go along, so it is immensely helpful to have a clear vision of where you’re going and what you want to create.

Taurus rules values – what your core values are and how you value yourself, so do a check-in. Do you honor yourself and does the way you treat yourself reflect that? If not, what changes can you make to receive better care?

Taurus rules money and financial security, so this is a good time to review financial issues and your consciousness regarding money, prosperity and abundance. If you are overspending, trying to fill a void by acquiring more, living with a belief in lack or fear regarding money, this is the time to take action to rectify your false/negative beliefs that manifest as money issues.

Are you a good receiver? Can you accept compliments joyfully without deflecting or complimenting the other person back?  Do you ask for help? Are you uncomfortable if someone makes a fuss  over you? If the answer is “yes” to any of these questions, then receiving is a spiritual practice for you.

You can’t receive money or love if you can’t receive!

Watch yourself and notice if you push things away, materially or energetically, because of your discomfort with receiving. If so, practice allowing gifts in, whether they’re compliments, presents, assistance or small gestures.

Taurus loves physical comfort, good food, it honors the body, sensuality and the earth, so you may want to indulge yourself with a massage, have a fabulous meal, lounge around in bed in the morning (on the good sheets!), take a luxurious bath, get fresh flowers, walk barefoot in the grass or on the beach, or just slow down and relax – this earthy sign is very patient and doesn’t like to rush for any reason.

Coming Attractions…
Next week Saturn opposes Uranus exactly, which indicates the push/pull, old vs. new, change vs. security dynamic. Where you experience this in your life depends on which houses Uranus and Saturn are moving through in your chart, but I’m sure you are feeling it! If you are in a rut it will feel intolerable now and you need to take steps to shift old, stale structures.

At the end of the month Mercury and Mars will both finally be in new territory, having moved beyond their retrograde paths. There’s tremendous energy building behind the scenes that will reveal itself as we move through the second half of May. Can you feel that something is coming?

We are in the midst of profound changes so stay as grounded and conscious as possible. Get support to gain clarity when you forget the truth of who you are, because that is when you are not in your power. If that happens, don’t judge your process as good or bad, instead, focus on what you value. What is important to you? What can you do to create or increase that?

Know that you likely won’t manifest the full thrust of the energies until June when there will be major simultaneous energetic shifts/releases and we will be propelled forward in our creations. Choose wisely, thoughtfully, and remember that you can always make new choices when something no longer resonates with you.

If you are trying to hang on to old, outdated ways/things you will feel the weight of what’s no longer working, and I urge you to focus on what you want to create and then be willing to take actions to make those changes.

This New Moon includes the Saturn (traditional/ structure) Uranus (unpredictable/no rules) opposition, which indicates either an adversarial standoff, unexpected curveballs, or the higher expression – moving forward in innovative ways with clear intention. Hold the vision of the life you desire and then invest your energy in yourself! What actions will support you in manifesting your vision and becoming who you came here to be?

Be conscious and be bold! Playing small won’t serve you and doesn’t work in the new, higher energy we’re operating in these days. The energetics don’t support diminishing yourself to stay safe and secure. The old idea of “security” doesn’t feel as safe anymore (a 401K, real estate, a long-term job, etc.). Real security is the ability to create what you want deliberately.

Because Mercury is still retrograde, the best use of this New Moon is to create a plan, set goals and clear intentions around what you want to create, why, and then feel it! Get organized so that when Mercury goes direct in October, you’ll be ready to go! Oh, and clear any clutter that is littering your physical and energetic path. Virgo is the perfect sign for that!

The New Moon in Virgo was on Sept 18th. The New Moon is the time for new beginnings, so take action toward something you want to create, develop or increase in your life. Virgo rules health, wellness, being of service, productivity, getting things in order (details!) and discernment – deciding what is useful and what is not.

Virgo is an analytical sign and a sign of “doing.”  What do you need to get busy doing?  This is the time to begin, to get organized, make a list and do something to put it into action.  Do you need to clear anything from your life – clutter, behaviors and habits that aren’t working for you or people who don’t support you? 

Are you treating your physical, emotional and spiritual self well? What actions can you take to nurture your health and wellness? What have you been putting off that it’s time to begin? And for those of you who are always busy, perhaps this is the time to nurture your health and well being by slowing down and taking a break or by building in some comfort.

Virgo is known as a sign of giving, but receiving may not come so easily. Are you a good receiver? Can you take a compliment without inner discomfort? Do you allow others to do for you sometimes without feeling guilty or uncomfortable? Can you fully enjoy receiving a gift?

Check in with yourself and if you have a receiving wound, you may want to keep a receiving journal. Whenever someone gives you anything – from a gift, to a compliment, to a helping hand – write down the date, who it was that gifted you, and what you received. It’s a wonderful way to anchor in the energy that’s so easy to deflect if you have an issue around receiving. And it’s a wonderful way to appreciate the many, many blessings in your life.

I urge you to practice being of service to others and to practice being of service to your Self so that you can contribute to the world that which you came here to offer!

New Moon intentions are written statements of what you intend to create in the coming Moon cycle.

Creating Your Intentions

• Create your list on the day of the New Moon if possible
• Review your list from the previous month and check off anything received
• Delete or replace items that are no longer relevant
• Create your new list and place it on your altar or in a private place
• Review your list out loud every day to keep your creations conscious

How To Write Your Intentions

• List at least two and no more than ten intentions, so you don’t dilute the energy
• Start each intention with the words “I create” 
• Only write what you intend to create (you can’t create for someone else)

• On the day of the New Moon write a check to yourself 
• Write your name in the section labeled “Pay to the order of” 
• Write “Paid in Full” in both the amount sections 
• Sign the check with the words, “Spiritual Law”
