The 72 hours prior to the Full Moon is when emotions run high and reactions can be overblown. Think of blowing up a balloon as a metaphor for the ascent of a Full Moon… the pressure continues to build until the Moon is full, then it “pops” and the energy is released.

Easy does it, go slowly and practice patience and compassion (for others and yourself!) so that you move in grace and flow. Along with the impending Full Moon, the current Mercury Retrograde also sets up the potential for snafus, so create more space between activities to increase mindfulness and to reduce the incidence of overwhelm and stress.

For those still in “the hallway,” Mercury Retrograde is a wonderful time to review where you’ve been, what has worked, what is complete and what you have accomplished – even it it’s discovering what you don’t want!

We are still reverberating from the intensity of the final Pluto/Saturn square on Aug 21st as it slowly separates, allowing for a reprieve from the relentless pressure we’ve experienced over the past month. This is part of the energetic that may have had you feeling as if your back was to the wall, ultimately dismantling weak structures in your life that needed clearing in order for you to evolve.

Jupiter (expansion) and Saturn (structure/contraction) are still in opposition which can feel like you’re being pushed and pulled in two directions at once! Remember, if you’re in one experience or the other, you’re in duality. To operate in the highest expression of the opposition, find the middle ground that allows you to grow in methodical and structured ways. No leaping before you look — and don’t get stuck in tradition (“the way we’ve always done it”).  Feel into when it’s time to move forward and when it’s time to step back to create space.

Pisces rules the collective unconscious, and according to sound healer and channel, Tom Kenyon, humanity is at a choice point regarding what it will experience as a collective reality.

The reality that will prevail is being anchored through the choices we are now making, both as individuals and as a collective.

We’re in the midst of a major spiritual initiation that will be ongoing throughout the summer – and it’s a glimpse of what will unfold in 2011.

Your job is to trust the process and allow your perception to shift so that you can embody your new reality in the most empowering way possible for you.

For the next few weeks we have a challenging planetary setup that can easily provoke reaction, internally and externally. In order to navigate this terrain effectively, the call is to step into your highest self and be as conscious as possible. A daily spiritual practice is vital now to remind you of what is real and what is illusion.

When your reference points have shifted it can be confusing and challenging to maintain your balance as familiar operating systems no longer apply. You may feel disoriented regarding your own identity. Who am I now? Where do I belong? What do I really want?

If you find yourself “in the hallway” (no longer in one room and the next has yet to be revealed), surrender to being “in the question” rather than needing to have an answer right now. Appreciate being “in process” and feel into what you want to create or what you love.

You can keep your vibration high if you adjust your expectations  accordingly, look forward in faith and treat yourself with extreme TLC.

Wed, July 21st – Saturn in Libra
For the next two years, Saturn is in Libra, which will transform the way we experience relationships and what they mean to us. Libra is about balance, so wherever you are “off” in relationships, you will continue to have experiences that bring the energy up to be seen. Then you get to decide what to do about it. I suggest getting help and healing for whatever is out of alignment.

All your relationships are mirroring YOU back to YOU. It’s stressful when you project disowned aspects of yourself onto others because you will always feel separate and often victimized. It’s not about “them,” because you have magnetized “them” into your life to show you something about you!

Thurs, July 22nd – Sun enters Leo
The Sun leaves sensitive, emotional Cancer and enters dramatic, expressive Leo. This is the ultimate sign to be the Ruler of your Universe so put yourself front and center and decide what you want to create!

Fri, July 23rd – Jupiter Retrograde
Jupiter goes retrograde until mid-Nov ’10, giving you the opportunity to feel into your beliefs and notice what has shifted. Jupiter rules higher truth and again, you decide – what is true for you now? You have evolved, circumstances have changed and this is a time of going within to find your north star, or spiritual GPS.

Sat, July 24th – Jupiter square Pluto
Watch the energy amp up as we approach the Full Moon tomorrow night – and with the Saturn-Uranus opposition the following day, the emotional energy is already high, high, high! Jupiter magnifies everything and because it’s squaring Pluto (power, control, transformation), this is a potentially combustible, volcanic energy. Easy does it for the next few days. Move slowly and think things through before you act.

Sun, July 25th – Full Moon in Aquarius
The Aquarius Moon opposite the Leo Sun is the greater good vs. your personal interests. How can you find balance in this equation? Where can you honor and express yourself fully while still serving the greater good? That’s a worthy intention and and a high expression of Self to manifest.

Mon, July 26th – Saturn-Uranus Opposition
Here it is – the final showdown between these two for many years to come. Saturn is traditional and security-oriented vs. Uranus, the “new,” innovative, radical energy and their face-off creates tension if you’re on one side or the other. Furthermore, whichever polarity you hold, you will attract the other!

Pluto is squaring both Saturn and Uranus in this configuration, so lay low and do not engage in power struggles of any kind. Pluto rules everything that’s hidden, so you (or others) may act out repressed energies in ways that you would never have anticipated. If you encounter the dark side of yourself or another, pay attention to the unmet need that’s crying out for attention and be compassionate.

Are you sensing an overall theme here? Balance and compromise, non-reactivity and compassion will  diffuse potentially volatile or upsetting interactions. If you’re pointing the finger at anyone for any reason, you’re missing the point. What is the message for you?

Another thing – during challenging times impeccable self-care is required. It’s non-negotiable. If you are not getting your needs met then you are in sacrifice or deprivation which can only create more pain. Ask for help. Reach out. There is tremendous support and inspiration available these days, regardless of your circumstances.

After returning from an inspiring Avatar International Course in Orlando with four magnificent students (who each experienced extraordinary transformation), I’m off to CEO Space in Las Vegas and then to Kendall Summerhawk’s Money, Marketing and Soul Platinum Intensive in Tucson, AZ for the week.

This is an expansive month for me, reconnecting with people I love who help me grow. I also expect to make new (karmic) connections with people I’m supposed to know. However, I don’t know what to expect because I’m showing up in a different way as I have evolved, so there’s an element of mystery (I love that!).

What can you do to utilize this energy of change for yourself? Do something different!

The New Moon is stimulated by Uranus (innovation and change) and Mercury (communication and info), together in Pisces. This brings brilliant mental energy into the mix, so watch for a sudden burst of genius, a breakthrough, revelation or innovation that changes everything!  Even though Mercury is a mental planet, it’s in Pisces, so information may come via intuition, imagination, feelings, dreams, and altered states of consciousness. However it comes in, trust your inner guidance and check it out!   

If you are seeking a solution to a problem or if you have to make a decision, go within and meditate, journal or brainstorm to see what shows up. Don’t edit yourself and be willing to step out of the box.  A message may come through your intuitive channel when you least expect it or you may receive an answer/direction through your dreams. 

Trust yourself and channel your own Divine brilliance!  

Mars went Direct on March 10^th and you can feel the action accelerating, as things are happening! Now you have the opportunity to incorporate that which you’ve learned since late Dec ’09 when Mars went Retrograde. This is the grace that follows a retrograde period – hopefully, you have acquired knowledge, wisdom and experience that leaves you more empowered and focused than you were before and that you can apply to your life with great success.  

Everything you envision now and every action you take, as well as all your beliefs (conscious and unconscious) is what you will bring with you into the Astrological New Year on March 20^th - the Spring Equinox – as the Sun enters the go-getter sign of Aries.

This is the launching pad for creating in 2010.   

Use this New Moon energy wisely and well. Vision, feel, check in with yourself and take actions! If you have limiting beliefs that get in the way (“I can’t”, “I have to…”), it’s in your best interest to get help to snap out of them, because they will hold you hostage and you will create whatever it is that you believe.

During a retrograde you are asked to do the “re” activities - review, revise, revisit, remodel, regroup, redo, and stick with things already in process. The main areas of attention with Venus are love, relationships and money, although revamping your personal style can create some issues if you make significant changes/investments and then change your mind when Venus goes direct! No matter how passionate you feel in the moment during Venus retrograde, if you make a choice that is out of character for you it may only be temporary.

Venus is in the sign of Aries for most of this retrograde which is a dynamic, assertive, driven, go-getter energy that is also very passionate and sexual. This is not the sign that likes to contemplate choices and take it’s time. We’re talking direct – the shortest distance from point A to point B, so you may be extra challenged to curb your impulses. Venus in Aries likes to pursue what they want and they LOVE the chase! Once they reach their goal they’re not always so interested, so be mindful when deciding to act on impulse.

Venus rules money. On a practical level, you may experience delays in receiving payments or resources and this is generally not a good time to make investments or launch a business as you may over- or under-estimate the value of the service or product you’re buying or selling. Financial activities that are low-risk are fine, but major spending is ill-advised during this time (again, you may over-value the product or your need for it). It is a good time for buying second-hand, especially if you are the type that knows the value of something that the seller may have under-valued. Then you can get a great deal!

Revising your approach to financial matters is in alignment with this retrograde. What needs revision or healing regarding your beliefs about money, receiving, and what you are worth? You may need to upgrade your business systems, i.e., the way you deal with the money you have. What is your money blueprint – do you know how much you can allow yourself to receive? What does money represent to you? What do you value? This is SO worth investigating if you’ve never thought about it. Oh and by the way, fear of economic insecurity has nothing to do with how much money you have!

In retrograde, Venus can motivate you to indulge in luxury spending that you really can’t afford or choose furniture/clothing/a new hairdo/a trip that you’re not interested in at all once Venus goes direct – and by then you can’t return it or get out of the contract and you are stuck with it. If you’re going to make changes let them be baby steps and for heaven’s sake, don’t redecorate your home or get a tattoo!! If you must indulge yourself during this time, think low-risk and temporary.

Venus retrograde is the perfect time to deal with relationship issues (that are likely to come up) which is really an outpicturing of how you feel about yourself. You only call in those who are in agreement with some part of you (conscious or unconscious). Whatever isn’t working for you needs to change and this is a wonderful time to gain awareness of what’s out of alignment and to focus on healing/shifting that.

Remember, others will value you to the degree that you value yourself, and your boundaries are indicators of what you will and won’t accept. You may finally be ready to love yourself enough to put your foot down and stop tolerating behaviors and relationship dynamics that aren’t good for you. If so, hooray for you (both)!! You don’t have to continue to do the dance – when one person changes, the dynamic between you changes, so know that you have more power than you may realize!

During Venus retrograde you may find yourself attracted to a dramatically different type of “other” than you would typically go for, and if you’re in a relationship you may feel restless and discontent. The guidance is not to make any major moves during the retrograde – don’t break up or get engaged/married because when Venus goes direct you may change your mind (or come back to your senses). It can be like waking up from a dream and saying to yourself, “What was I thinking?!!”

If you begin a new relationship during Venus retrograde it is common not to see your new love interest clearly, missing red flags that you would ordinarily notice. If you are in a long-term relationship and suddenly feel restless or discontent, use this time to find out what is really out of alignment for you that makes you seek greener pastures. What needs of yours aren’t being met?

Old loves and lovers from the past may suddenly pop up, seemingly out of nowhere, during Venus retrograde. If you’re both available it can be fun to reconnect or you may even have a fling, but eventually you will likely remember why you separated in the first place when Venus goes direct! In any event, stay tuned to see if anyone from your past appears in the next six weeks.

This is a good time to review all of your relationships and your relationship dynamics to see if there are issues that need attention or conversations you need to have. Do you need to make amends to anyone or are there friends or loved ones you’ve been out of touch with? This is a perfect time to “re”connect!

This is a wonderful energy for artists who have creative projects in process that need to be finished. You may be inspired with fresh ideas and approaches that open up new levels of self-expression via your art. You may want to redo an old piece, breathing new life into it! And for you artists who don’t do creativity for a living, PLEASE give yourself a gift and make your art – it’s like oxygen for you and in my humble opinion, it’s not optional!

I hope that you realize just how valuable you are - that would be the most beneficial outcome of Venus Retrograde. The more you recognize your own value the better you will be, which benefits us all!

Because a spark of the Divine is within you, this is the place from which you create. You have the power to manifest your desires when your beliefs are in alignment with them. Check your beliefs and choose your thoughts wisely!

Creating Your Intentions

• Create your list on the day of the New Moon if possible
• Review your list from the previous month and check off anything received
• Delete or replace items that are no longer relevant
• Create your new list and place it on your altar or in a private place
• Review your list out loud every day to keep your creations conscious

How To Write Your Intentions

• List at least two and no more than ten intentions, so you don’t dilute the energy
• Start each intention with the words “I create” 
• Only write what you intend to create (you can’t create for someone else)
