Guess what happens when you decide to “break the family myth” and take a leap forward in your life? Everything that’s out of alignment pops up to tell you “NO!” – or even more insidious, a little voice in your head whispers all the good reasons why you shouldn’t ________ (fill in the blank).

This little voice pretends to be your Higher Self (here to keep you safe), but in reality it’s your shadow, here to keep you small, stuck, stagnant or limited so that you maintain the family myth.

What is the family myth? It’s the story you grew up with about who you are that was mirrored back to you over and over. Maybe it was said out loud or maybe it was a non-verbal message you picked up about yourself.

You may have released some of the family myth or much of it – or maybe you still believe that you are who they said you were. Maybe you still believe certain things about yourself that limit you. Are you trapped in some old family role, belief or behavior that isn’t really your highest truth?

There is SO much more to you than the limited family story of who you are.

Here’s the deal: when you try to break the family myth, there is a powerful unconscious drive to pull you back and that’s the way your unconscious keeps you connected to your family – and you don’t know that’s what’s happening!

But like a chick ready to hatch – when you outgrow your shell, the need to expand will outweigh the desire to cling to security and you’ll be ready to move forward.

I am here to guide you through that process (wherever you are) in the gentlest way. This is an encouragement zone with good, orderly direction.

This will be a nonlinear experience – so warm and smooth that the teachings will wash over you and sink in with profound results, so the loving voice becomes part of your consciousness. Welcome to the energy of Scorpio, ruler of issues that involve upheaval, power, transformation, and all things hidden – which can be unsettling, as you feel out of control when it’s happening to you.

If you are having an uncomfortable experience, I suggest that you give yourself as much space as possible for self-care. What do you do to take care of yourself when you’re feeling off-balance, upset, fearful, or down?

When you need care and attention I invite you to “go where it’s warm.” In those moments you need a soft place to fall, and I hope that you have people in your life who are there for you, willing to listen with compassion, especially when you  need support.

This guidance may seem like a no-brainer, but you’d be surprised to know how many people make the wrong choices when they need comfort and care by reaching out to those who can’t or don’t give them what they need.

The effects of not getting your needs met when seeking comfort can create an additional hurt on top of the initial one. It can also validate an old belief that nobody is there for you, leaving you feeling alone and unsupported – and very sad

When you continue to go to people who can’t or don’t give you want you need it’s like going to the hardware store for oranges. Don’t do it! If the dynamic isn’t working for you, don’t go there!

Please understand that current people/circumstances in your life can only trigger wounds that are already there – current situations do not create the wounds. They just reinforce them.

Also, be mindful that just because someone cares about you it doesn’t mean that they can help you, so ask for compassionate listening, not necessarily advice. When receiving advice, always consider the source.

You discern what is right for you in any given moment. If you make a choice that doesn’t work for you, don’t “bad dog” yourself – make another choice!

Keep going, because you are important and worth every ounce of effort it takes to be in alignment for your Highest Good. Now, more than ever, what we (and the world) need is more love and compassion.

So we continue on in Scorpio – the energy of transformation and purification, and the energy is especially intense this year as we approach 2012. Uranus (the revolutionary) in Aries (the warrior) squaring Pluto (power) continues to instigate and activate smoldering issues, fanning the flames to a fever pitch.

Change is in the air and the old structures are coming down. World events are evidence of this, as in Occupy Wall St., as well as the political and ongoing middle eastern conflicts.

Where are you feeling the uprising in your life? What has got to change in order for you to be well, to be vibrant and flourish? I recommend that you be proactive in making necessary changes whenever possible, rather than being reactive after something happens.

Did you do your New Moon Intentions on Wed? I hope so… Please say them out loud every day, feeling into the energy of what you are committed to creating for yourself and your evolution.

Here’s another idea: make a “Cosmic To-Do List” that will facilitate the changes you KNOW you need to make. And then take action – whether it means building in more play time, taking a class to support your professional expansion, reconnecting with a loved one, hiring a VA, or joining an online dating site.

Any necessary action you take will build your self-esteem, too. You get self-esteem by doing esteemable things!

Don’t delay your evolution – things are happening too fast these days for you to let your fears keep you imprisoned. I see so much “instant karma,” now meaning, we get back what we put out very quickly now.

If you are unsure, confused, paralyzed or bewildered, reach out for help and let others help you! Do you know that fear can dissipate instantly with the right support? You don’t have to stay stuck! There’s no glory in being a solo act – and it’s so much more fun to have a guide when you’re moving through new.

I always feel endings – and I allow myself to fully experience the melancholy I feel when letting go of “what is” in order to open to what’s next. I have such deep love and gratitude for the inspiration and safety I feel with these women who have supported and enabled my growth in 2011, along with coach extraordinaire, Christine Kane. It is profound what a container of love, encouragement and belonging can incubate, combined with good orderly direction.

Speaking of loss, I feel deep sadness at the passing of Steve Jobs for various reasons. For one, I wonder what creations he could have manifested in the future that died with him. Steve Jobs We have so few successful creators who model a high level of being and who will not bend to social pressure. I so appreciate his conviction, his courage, his genius – and his commitment to his vision that others didn’t always see.

Steve Jobs and I were born on the same day – at different times, so we have different astrological charts and very different lives, but we also have much in common. That’s another reason I feel sad about his passing; I feel a deep understanding of his life setup on a soul level.

I have had my share of loss in life and because healing is my business – and because I have Steve Jobs’ chart – I can’t help but wonder if he could have avoided or healed his pancreatic cancer by healing the issue(s) that created it. I think there’s a possibility that he didn’t have to die. I can’t help it – this is my belief. I don’t mean to sound arrogant like I know better, but it’s my intuitive feeling that he didn’t have to go now – or maybe it’s my little girl wish – that I didn’t want him to go.

For those of you who are still here, please be willing to heal the issues that create discomfort and pain in your life. You are so worth it and you can shift your life experience now. I know, I’ve done it – and I keep going in my process. Please make good use of all the wonder that surrounds you!

                 Full Moon in Aries – Oct 11, ’11    

                 7:06 pm PDT ~ 10:06 pm EDT 

A Full Moon is when things come to light and it’s also the culmination of things and the Full Moon in Aries is on Oct 11th. You can expect emotional energy to increase over the weekend and early next week as we approach the Full Moon on Tuesday night (potentially escalating tension), so easy does it.

Aries is the maverick, the pioneer, the warrior, and with this energy, you want it YOUR way – direct, energetic and action-oriented.  Libra is the other-oriented, sign of peace, harmony, balance and beauty. Libra is “the mirror,” who desires compromise, connection and loves a win-win (a Libra dream come true!)

The task at hand is to assess your ability to take action and be assertive without being a steamroller vs. your ability to compromise without sacrificing your own needs. Check in with yourself and see what needs adjusting so that your masculine/feminine aspects are in balance, therefore making you more effective in your life as well as in the world.

Whatever you’re attracting in your life that you don’t like is mirroring some part of you that’s unconscious, and you’ve called it in to awaken you. Pluto is squaring Uranus, so when people or aspects of life feel oppressive, slow down and check in with yourself. The intensity in relationships right now is off the charts!

Have you given up your power and called in a bully or manipulator to reflect that? Or are you the dominant player? These are just two sides of one coin and Pluto often brings power struggles. If you’re confronted with this energy, don’t engage. I suggest that you withdraw and go within to discern what part you play in this drama.

Uranus squaring Pluto may compel you to seek freedom and authenticity wherever you feel trapped by life circumstances. Be brave and make those revolutionary changes – take the conscious leap!

Until you identify what’s out of alignment, you can’t make an effective correction. Therefore, it will serve you to do explore what’s really happening beneath the surface when you experience a relationship challenge of any kind.

You may discover that you are operating in ways that surprise or even horrify you – not at all what you intended! – but don’t resist the information. Awareness provides you with the opportunity to heal shadow energy – and please seek help if you aren’t able to correct it yourself.

Jupiter (expansion, more) is opposite Venus (love, $$, pleasure) indicating strong desires for love, passion and potential excess, so beware of overdoing it. Too much of anything will shift you out of balance.

Remember the principle of the Tao – Yin (Divine Feminine) and Yang (Awakened Masculine)

They are two parts of the whole, and both need to be developed for optimal functioning.

All is in Divine order.

Be compassionate with yourself and with others and remember that everyone (including you!) is doing the best they can. ♥ 

This New Moon in strong-willed Aries on April 3rd will be combustible. Six planets in Aries wanting to take off and go, with Saturn in opposition and Pluto squaring the bunch.

Authority and relationship issues feature prominently, as well as potential power struggles and control issues. Easy does it and don’t engage if communications get heated. Just let it go for now… step out and reconnect if necessary when everyone calms down.

You may be impatient to move forward but you will likely encounter obstacles or speed bumps that slow you down. If you become annoyed or frustrated as plans are delayed, practice restraint and flexibility for best results and fewer problems to rectify later.

Mercury is Retrograde  so your patterns of thinking, communicating, your learning and everything about the way you move through life are up for review during this three week period. Make good use of this opportunity to fine tune and uplevel your expression in the world.

Jupiter, planet of expansion connects with the Sun/Moon combo, urging you to jump into the next big idea or to take on MORE but be mindful, as the Great Teacher, Saturn, is opposing those three planets making you accountable for every move you make. Consciousness is key in order to avoid drama.

And, since Mercury is Retrograde, none of the new plans are going to fall into place without constant tweaking and extra work, so don’t overdo it in your enthusiasm.

The Aries New Moon is the traditional time to make your Treasure Map – or Vision Board of what you want to create this year.  If you want an activity to focus your nonlinear energy on this weekend, create your vision for the year either by making art, music, playing in nature or by journaling.

Full Moon in Virgo – March 19, ’11

The Full Moon in Virgo is on Sat, March 19th at 2:10pm EDT and the emotional energy is already off the charts!

Uranus (change) is conjunct the Sun, which creates edginess, as the Full Moon  squares the  North Node that is sitting on the Galactic Center.

This means that powerful energies create tension that can stress your nervous system to the max, challenging you to take exquisite care of yourself as you slow down, breathe, go within and connect to Spirit, your Higher Self, and/or nature. Whatever grounds you and brings you back to center is good.

Flexibility is key in finding new ways of operating when unexpected changes occur or when you’re faced with a challenge. Saying yes to “what is” is a highly beneficial spiritual practice, especially during turbulent times.

Sun in Aries,  Equinox – March 20th

Happy New Year!! As unbalanced as you may feel, this the time for new beginnings, as we kick off the astrological year.

This is the astrological New Year – the ultimate new beginning – a time of rebirth and renewal when the energies of the Universe support creation and action. What is your vision for your life this year? The clearer you are, the greater the possibility is for manifesting your dreams!

It’s important to be connected to your vision for yourself and at the same time, be willing to flow with the energy of the Universe. Be prepared to course correct as you go forward and don’t be rigid, because it won’t serve you and it will create unnecessary pain.

Mercury Retrograde – March 30th to April 23rd

You will have time to readjust and  revamp your life during Mercury Retrograde. If you’re going to begin something new, do it this coming week, because by March 28th Mercury will be slowing down to turn around.

There’s so much going on – the best I can do is guide you to take impeccable care of yourself. Choose positive input – where you put your attention (TV, books, Internet, movies), choose positive, loving, uplifting relationships, spend time in nature  and create down time for yourself. Creating space for yourself is a natural antidepressant!

Inspiration is like oxygen for healers and spiritual teachers, so be sure to find yours. Again, it’s your job (smile).

I hope you get your Perfect Timing Guide so you know what to do (and what NOT to do) and when.  With seven days of  all-day Moons Void of Course in the month of April – life will become highly frustrating and unpredictable for those who are not informed. Don’t let that be you!

The month of April is going to be an interesting test. Rocky. Get your support to make it as good as possible for you!

Here’s what I consider important right now:

1. Have you received new information since Mercury went Direct on Jan 4th – or have you found that your perspective has shifted regarding some major aspect of your life? This is very common when Mercury goes forward after a Retrograde and it can initiate life-changing decisions and even a new direction. What actions do you need to take given this new info? Get clear about that.

2. Where are you now that we’ve gone through the two Eclipses? We had the Solstice/Lunar Eclipse Dec 21st (endings) and the Solar Eclipse Jan 4th (new beginnings), which created a wormhole that took you from one reality into another. What do you want to create from here? You may have some very exciting possibilities!

If you find yourself in new territory there may be a period of acclimation involved. Are you clear about where you are and where you are going? If not, spend quiet time connecting to your deepest Self and be very gentle, allowing messages to be revealed to you so you can do the next right thing at the appropriate time.

No panic or pushing – that’s unproductive in my opinion. Tune into your personal rhythm for correct timing.

3. Saturn is squaring the Sun today, which means that solid plans and structures are rewarded. Having a good idea is a start, but you need organization with systems in place in order to manifest your creations into form.

Discipline is supported, so take action and do something good for yourself – whether pertaining to diet, exercise, health care, creating space, finding a business coach or consultant (even a free taste!) – but do something that will benefit YOU.

4. Please prepare for what you want to create in the coming months by creating a plan, outline, or road map. The discipline required to map out your strategy will serve you well and if you can’t do it alone, there are so many gifted teachers and mentors who will guide you, so ask for help! Again, if you’re not ready for this step then just be where you are.

I am a firm believer that we each have our own process and “readiness” is really “grace” – when a window of opportunity opens within, often mirrored by an external opportunity to match it. Trust your Self and do the next right thing.

So often your Higher Self will lead you forward and then your ego (fear) will try to take you out. When in doubt, go within to your Higher Self. Fear doesn’t live there – it’s a safe place that will connect you with your truth.

Remember, you have an important job to do here on planet earth and you’re being prepared!

The New Moon is the time for new beginnings so take an action directed toward what you want to increase, create or develop in your life.

Sagittarius is the “truthteller” or teacher/preacher who rules higher truth, the meaning of life, spirituality, law, religion, belief systems, philosophy, higher education, ideals, ethics, publishing, broadcasting, long journeys, foreign travel, other cultures, social causes, politics, adventure and expansion.

Sagittarius is happy fighting for a cause, i.e., the Spiritual Warrior who is involved in raising consciousness and doing good for the world.

Sagittarius is the big picture  – enthusiastic, optimistic, and inspired, which can provide you with the confidence to move forward in areas of life where you may have been reluctant to go before.

On the other hand, Sagittarius can be impulsive and is often a “leap before you look” sign – so please check that whatever you are leaping into is solid.

Sagittarius rules beliefs. Do your beliefs support you or are they inhibiting your growth and holding you hostage?

Examine what you THINK is possible for you, because whatever you believe is what you will be able to achieve. If you are limited by your beliefs, now is the time to seek help to clear limiting beliefs – and I assure you it can easily be done!

* Focus on a vision for your life. Which area of your life would you like to see expand?

* Where do you feel limited or restricted? Here’s the bigger question: Who is restricting you?

* Feeling inspired creates a meaningful life. What inspires you?

* What truth do you need to look at or speak up about?

* Sagittarius rules ethics – is your life in alignment with what you say you care about? What do you stand for?

* What move have you been contemplating but have been too afraid to make that speaks to a deep calling from within?

This is a high-level assignment and each one of us is somewhere on this hero’s journey of self-discovery at a whole new level. Where are you?

If you feel disconnected or unsure of your direction, you have likely stepped into a new level of beingness and are not yet familiar with the culture or language of this new place. Go gently and nurture yourself well as you acclimate to this new world – and please be patient. Give yourself space. As Woody Allen said, “Time is nature’s way of keeping everything from happening all at once.”

The New Moon is the the time for new beginnings and since it occurs tonight in the U.S., we’ll be in the energy all day on Tuesday, August 10th. Take this opportunity to begin, launch or do something new, as the Universe will nurture the seeds you plant at this time.

Leo is the ultimate sign of creation and creative expression - and you want to act now because Mercury will be going Retrograde at the end of next week and you don’t want to begin anything new then if you haven’t already taken some action. (Get your free Mercury Retrograde report).

On this New Moon, Venus (relationships, money, values) is opposing Jupiter (expansion) and they are both squared by Pluto (transformation). This brings up issues of self-esteem, what you value and how you value yourself. With Venus opposite Jupiter, how much do you need to feel good? Venus is your desire nature, what makes life worth living and Jupiter is ‘more,” which can either manifest as generosity or the black hole of endless wanting. Your choice…

Pluto rules the unconscious (what’s hidden), so watch for shadowy issues that appear in you and others. With Pluto squaring Venus you may experience issues around power and love, power and money and major control/trust issues in relationships. These are deep issues that need healing in order for you to operate from your Higher Self. It’s about feeling safe in the world, trusting yourself, and transmitting that energy outward so that you can then magnetize that energy back to you.

The Venus/Mars connection gives you the opportunity to consciously rebalance your masculine and feminine energy. Sacred masculine energy functions with focus, integrity and drive, is confident, effective and inspired rather than dominant. Divine feminine energy is grounded safely in her power with clear intention and focus, heart chakra open as she magnetizes resources and knows how to receive, undefended.

Which part of you needs support or is overly active? Take this opportunity to become conscious of your masculine/feminine energetic balance and make any needed corrections, with support wherever necessary. With the relentless pressure being exerted upon us by the most powerful and dynamic planets, you have the opportunity to channel this energy into creating breakthroughs wherever you are stuck. Being proactive is the best way to empower yourself in this climate of radical change.

You are being called to step beyond the familiar into a new paradigm creatively designed by YOU! This is why it’s imperative that you decide how you want to live and determine what you came here to contribute to humanity. The New Moon is the perfect time to take actions toward your Divine purpose and who you came here to be!

We are re-creating the world and we need you to hold the highest, most authentic vision of yourself. The beliefs you hold and the choices you make determine the experience you will have. When you make a decision, check in to see what your motivation is – expansion, alignment, higher truth – or fear, protection, security?

With Saturn and Jupiter in opposition, economic issues will likely be front and center, but you don’t have to buy into the “bad economy” paradigm and allow that to create your reality. By the way, there are plenty of people making lots of money right now in this “bad” economy, so don’t be fooled by the limiting beliefs proposed by conventional wisdom. Think outside the box and take your power back!

Creativity grounded in sound structure trumps conventional wisdom (which is always fear-based).

Friday, Aug 13th – March ’11 – Uranus retrogrades from Aries (the warrior) back into Pisces (Divine Love /imagination) for one last go-round. This is a fabulous opportunity to manifest brilliant ideas and to download intuitive visions by going within or via your dreams.

Venus will be going Retrograde in Oct for six weeks, so you’ll have plenty of time to review your issues around relationships, money, values and how you value yourself!
