Guess what happens when you decide to “break the family myth” and take a leap forward in your life? Everything that’s out of alignment pops up to tell you “NO!” – or even more insidious, a little voice in your head whispers all the good reasons why you shouldn’t ________ (fill in the blank).

This little voice pretends to be your Higher Self (here to keep you safe), but in reality it’s your shadow, here to keep you small, stuck, stagnant or limited so that you maintain the family myth.

What is the family myth? It’s the story you grew up with about who you are that was mirrored back to you over and over. Maybe it was said out loud or maybe it was a non-verbal message you picked up about yourself.

You may have released some of the family myth or much of it – or maybe you still believe that you are who they said you were. Maybe you still believe certain things about yourself that limit you. Are you trapped in some old family role, belief or behavior that isn’t really your highest truth?

There is SO much more to you than the limited family story of who you are.

Here’s the deal: when you try to break the family myth, there is a powerful unconscious drive to pull you back and that’s the way your unconscious keeps you connected to your family – and you don’t know that’s what’s happening!

But like a chick ready to hatch – when you outgrow your shell, the need to expand will outweigh the desire to cling to security and you’ll be ready to move forward.

I am here to guide you through that process (wherever you are) in the gentlest way. This is an encouragement zone with good, orderly direction.

This will be a nonlinear experience – so warm and smooth that the teachings will wash over you and sink in with profound results, so the loving voice becomes part of your consciousness. The energy of Divine Love is in the air this weekend, as Venus connects with Neptune (earthly love and Divine love), urging you to be compassionate with yourself and others. Before you judge someone, think about whether you’ve ever done what you’re judging them for. It’s always a humility piece.

Self-judgment or judging others is an e-ticket to a low vibration! A low vibration is not a creative energy and it makes everything harder, so please don’t go there!

As you enter the coming Retrograde, prepare to be flexible and not get discouraged if you encounter perceived obstacles. There’s nothing wrong with you – there’s something that requires adjustment, that’s all. Don’t take things personally AND make the necessary course corrections. You will likely be led in surprising directions that you could never have planned!

We have 10 days until Mars (planet of action, will, your body) goes Retrograde, so be sure to begin anything new that you want to activate during the first quarter. Once Mars goes Retrograde, there will be plenty of time to revise, rework and redo whatever requires adjustment.

Right now you should be planning and taking action towards anything new that you want to set in motion in the external world before Mars goes Retrograde on Jan 23rd – April 14th.

Mars is the planet of how you get what you want, the way you work, how you take action, as well as your physical body.

In the first three weeks of January you can jump start your process by taking action in the external world to begin any of the following that apply to you:

* launch your new project
* start your new health regimen
* begin your new workout plan
* buy your new home, car, or big ticket item
* sell your home, car, or big ticket item
* launch your website
* set your wedding date/contact vendors
* pitch investors
* hire a consultant or an employee
* give a presentation
* make a major investment
* schedule surgery/dental work
* announce or host an event

Do you HAVE to do these things now?  No, but it will make your life easier if you’re ready to move forward.

Decide to make 2012 the year you surprise yourself with your own special brand of genius! I can’t wait to see what you create… ♥

I’m preparing to fly home to NYC today after meeting with my coach and  Platinum Mastermind group for the last few days.

It feels very energizing and centering to have a plan for 2012 – one that was created for my expanded, BIG Self, rather than my limited, doubtful self.

That’s the beauty of having a coach or mentor, i.e., one who holds a space of truth and vision for you that’s greater than what you see for yourself in the moment. Then you get practical guidance to implement the plan.

So this is a good time to check in with yourself. Are you making decisions from your Higher Self or are you making “low self-esteem/Wounded Self” decisions?

Those low self-esteem/wounded self decisions will keep you small until you’re ready to take a leap and move to the next level – if ever.

Seriously, are you short-changing yourself because you fear you’re not worthy or that no one will want you or what you offer? If so, you need new input – and a new mirror!

I so recommend that you get support for whatever it is you’re trying to accomplish and it all begins with shifting your beliefs about yourself and your value.

If you follow me, you know how I feel about that. Here’s my belief:
You are the essence of pure goodness. Your goodness has nothing to do with your actions or the actions of anyone else.

Yes, it’s true.

And if you don’t know that deep inside, I would love to help you shift that.

If you allow others to treat you as less than wonderful, I would really love to help you shift that.

If you treat yourself as less than the precious gift that you are,  I highly recommend that you work with me asap!

You are missing a huge opportunity if you allow the ego’s fear to overrule your Higher Self’s call.

We’ve just been through a Lunar Eclipse, with Uranus (the new/unexpected) and Mercury (info/communication) both going Direct. These are all huge energies and everyone I know has been feeling the undercurrents.

You can expect new information to continue to filter in post-Mercury Retrograde that may change your view of the current landscape. Take all the incoming information in and then go within to connect with your inner guidance.

Words of wisdom: Your Higher Self (intuition) is always the most reliable guide for you on your path.  If you’re not clear, either wait to make decisions or get help from a trusted advisor to clear any blockages that may be present.

You have a relatively small window of opportunity (Dec 14 to Jan 22), to initiate or pursue new projects, pursuits and activities before Mars (action/will/the body) goes Retrograde from Jan 23 – April 14. (That’s a long Retrograde!)

You’ll be reviewing, revising and making corrections where you’re out of alignment via your work, the way you operate in the world (your will), your physical body, and more.

So what should you do? The guidance is to initiate “the new” between now and Jan 22nd.

Right now is the time to plan for the first quarter of 2012 – deciding how you will take care of yourself, what you will participate in, where you will go and who you will do it with. All is in Divine Order, so just say “yes” to what is.

Don’t judge things as good or bad because you don’t know the big picture. More will be revealed…

Sun in Capricorn – Dec 22, ’11

The Sun moves into serious, grounded, committed Capricorn late Tues PT/early Wed ET and you will feel the energy shift when it does. This is another wake-up call – we could call Capricorn the “Reality Check” sign, which asks you to step up and take responsibility for ALL your creations.

Look at your life to see what’s working, what’s not working, and where you want to go. Planning, organization and boundaries are all within Capricorn’s domain so really take inventory of your life over the holidays.

At this moment you have yet another opportunity to step into your authority and your mastery in the world, as well as the invitation to fully claim your inner authority.

Trust yourself – listen to your inner guidance system and allow it to be your intuitive tracking device; it will never steer you wrong!

We’re in a Venus (love, desire)/Pluto (power, transformation) conjunction, which can mean a variety of things, but the lower expressions usually express as drama.

You may find yourself in a triangular relationship (three people), whether it’s love, family or business – but there are huge issues around possessiveness and control in the mix.

Here’s a healing for triangles: never speak about one who isn’t present. Deal only with the one you are speaking to and take responsibility for your words and actions with that person. You will never feel good about yourself after saying negative things about another. Really.

Venus-Pluto may find you clinging (with claw marks!) to an old attachment that you fear losing. The attachment is the issue and if you’re not able to let go yet, set your intention to be willing to let go. Be gentle with yourself, because some part of you believes that you need this attachment to be okay.

Venus-Pluto aspects create darkness in the lower expressions but offer you the potential to totally transform that stuck energy by moving from selfish desires (ego) into your Higher Self. From this place you can let go and reconnect with a peaceful, open heart.

I urge you to operate from your Higher Self if you find this within your space. Be loving, be compassionate and remember that everyone is doing the best they can (including you!).

We’re also in a Sun (ego) – Mars (aggression) square so you may really, really want it your way! Between Venus-Pluto, Sun square Mars, The Eclipses and Mercury Retrograde slowing things down, this is potentially tense and combustible energy! Move slowly and consciously – and take really good care of yourself this week. Seek inspiration and comfort. Connect heart to heart – that is the true antidote for drama. ♥

Eclipse Energy

We end the week approaching a Lunar Eclipse in Gemini on Sat, Dec 10th, which is about endings and the culmination of things. Just a few reminders…

• Emotions run high around eclipses – expect the unexpected as well as fated events, and be willing to be flexible.
• Eclipses can either clear huge obstacles or manifest potential challenges and things usually happen quickly.
• If you’re confronted with an unexpected situation or event, take a moment to assess where you are and let the dust settle, if possible.
• There’s a saying, “Don’t just do something, sit there!” Use that guidance when anxiety triggers you to act prematurely or reactively, which doesn’t serve your highest good.
• Please don’t judge events that happen around an Eclipse as “good” or “bad” because you don’t know what the big picture is and remember that more will be revealed. Changes will happen so be prepared to be proactive and flexible.
• You can feel empowered and clear, even if you’re in the hallway.

All is in Divine order. All is well. And you are important!

Mercury Retrograde Nov 24 – Dec 13, ’11

This may affect holiday travel, so be sure to leave plenty of extra time and space to get where you’re going this Thanksgiving.

Mercury Retrograde during Black Friday and Cyber Monday means that purchasing mistakes and missteps will probably be greater than usual and making large purchases during this time is ill advised. If you have to get that new iPad or other major purchase (especially electronic), wait until Dec 16th if possible. You will thank yourself for being patient and save your receipts for whatever you buy!

I recommend communicating via email so you can double check directions, agreements and plans in writing. Miscommunications are rampant during Mercury Retrograde and email is so handy for verification – whether you have an unexpected brain freeze or a dispute about who said what when.

It’s been a huge week astrologically!  First, Neptune went Direct on Wed, activating the energy of Oneness for humanity and supporting you in taking steps toward manifesting your dreams.

Yesterday we had a Full Moon on the Taurus/Scorpio axis, which rules money, values, and transformation. It’s time for you to decide what really matters to you and where you want to spend your time, energy and money.

These are big decisions, so be thoughtful in examining your life and your choices – you want your choices to be conscious!

Chiron (the wounded Healer) turned Direct on Thursay as well, and all the above mentioned energy, combined with the 11-11-11 portal, brings to a head the ultimate choice you have to make: do you operate in Unity consciousness or do you believe in separation?

Whatever you choose will dictate the quality of your life! You will get whatever you believe in, whether it’s Unity and a feeling of connection or separation and lack.

The energy is red hot now, time to move forward with projects before Mercury goes Retrograde on Nov 24th.

Mars (action and will) is connecting with Pluto (power) providing you with the ability to generate tremendous momentum that will serve you well.

Take good care of yourself during this time of high energy,  transformation, and evolution. Time is escalating and we are moving along quickly. Your efforts will be rewarded if you focus on taking steps toward what is authentic and real for you.

Welcome to the energy of Scorpio, ruler of issues that involve upheaval, power, transformation, and all things hidden – which can be unsettling, as you feel out of control when it’s happening to you.

If you are having an uncomfortable experience, I suggest that you give yourself as much space as possible for self-care. What do you do to take care of yourself when you’re feeling off-balance, upset, fearful, or down?

When you need care and attention I invite you to “go where it’s warm.” In those moments you need a soft place to fall, and I hope that you have people in your life who are there for you, willing to listen with compassion, especially when you  need support.

This guidance may seem like a no-brainer, but you’d be surprised to know how many people make the wrong choices when they need comfort and care by reaching out to those who can’t or don’t give them what they need.

The effects of not getting your needs met when seeking comfort can create an additional hurt on top of the initial one. It can also validate an old belief that nobody is there for you, leaving you feeling alone and unsupported – and very sad

When you continue to go to people who can’t or don’t give you want you need it’s like going to the hardware store for oranges. Don’t do it! If the dynamic isn’t working for you, don’t go there!

Please understand that current people/circumstances in your life can only trigger wounds that are already there – current situations do not create the wounds. They just reinforce them.

Also, be mindful that just because someone cares about you it doesn’t mean that they can help you, so ask for compassionate listening, not necessarily advice. When receiving advice, always consider the source.

You discern what is right for you in any given moment. If you make a choice that doesn’t work for you, don’t “bad dog” yourself – make another choice!

Keep going, because you are important and worth every ounce of effort it takes to be in alignment for your Highest Good. Now, more than ever, what we (and the world) need is more love and compassion.

I’ve just returned from my Platinum Mastermind group in Asheville, NC.

It was a poignant conclusion to a transformative year, not only for me, but for all of my sisters in spirit!

I look back at where I was one year ago and marvel at my growth, both internally and externally.

As you know, your external life is just an outpicturing of what’s happening within you.

And how did this growth happen? By allowing others “in” to offer me new ways of operating and by taking baby steps – one new step at a time.

If you aren’t happy with where you are – or if you feel like your life is out of alignment with your authentic self, then I urge you to take some kind of action to course correct now.

I have been working at healing for a very long time – and believe me, I had a lot to heal! And I continue to evolve by pursuing my next steps all the time, personally and professionally.

Which leads me to an important question when it comes to personal growth and transformation – are you teachable?

• Are you open to considering/trying new ways of doing things?

• Do you do everything yourself – without outside help? (If so, why?)

• Do you often feel misunderstood or different, feeling like nobody “gets” you?

• Do you trust yourself to recognize the right and perfect teachers/methodologies/modalities for you?

These are just a few inquiries that you can make to see if you’re truly open to allowing help, new information and guidance in.

You cannot stay in your comfort zone and transform your life. All growth requires some emotional risk – and as I frequently remind you, you are SO worth it!

I always feel endings – and I allow myself to fully experience the melancholy I feel when letting go of “what is” in order to open to what’s next. I have such deep love and gratitude for the inspiration and safety I feel with these women who have supported and enabled my growth in 2011, along with coach extraordinaire, Christine Kane. It is profound what a container of love, encouragement and belonging can incubate, combined with good orderly direction.

Speaking of loss, I feel deep sadness at the passing of Steve Jobs for various reasons. For one, I wonder what creations he could have manifested in the future that died with him. Steve Jobs We have so few successful creators who model a high level of being and who will not bend to social pressure. I so appreciate his conviction, his courage, his genius – and his commitment to his vision that others didn’t always see.

Steve Jobs and I were born on the same day – at different times, so we have different astrological charts and very different lives, but we also have much in common. That’s another reason I feel sad about his passing; I feel a deep understanding of his life setup on a soul level.

I have had my share of loss in life and because healing is my business – and because I have Steve Jobs’ chart – I can’t help but wonder if he could have avoided or healed his pancreatic cancer by healing the issue(s) that created it. I think there’s a possibility that he didn’t have to die. I can’t help it – this is my belief. I don’t mean to sound arrogant like I know better, but it’s my intuitive feeling that he didn’t have to go now – or maybe it’s my little girl wish – that I didn’t want him to go.

For those of you who are still here, please be willing to heal the issues that create discomfort and pain in your life. You are so worth it and you can shift your life experience now. I know, I’ve done it – and I keep going in my process. Please make good use of all the wonder that surrounds you!

                 Full Moon in Aries – Oct 11, ’11    

                 7:06 pm PDT ~ 10:06 pm EDT 

A Full Moon is when things come to light and it’s also the culmination of things and the Full Moon in Aries is on Oct 11th. You can expect emotional energy to increase over the weekend and early next week as we approach the Full Moon on Tuesday night (potentially escalating tension), so easy does it.

Aries is the maverick, the pioneer, the warrior, and with this energy, you want it YOUR way – direct, energetic and action-oriented.  Libra is the other-oriented, sign of peace, harmony, balance and beauty. Libra is “the mirror,” who desires compromise, connection and loves a win-win (a Libra dream come true!)

The task at hand is to assess your ability to take action and be assertive without being a steamroller vs. your ability to compromise without sacrificing your own needs. Check in with yourself and see what needs adjusting so that your masculine/feminine aspects are in balance, therefore making you more effective in your life as well as in the world.

Whatever you’re attracting in your life that you don’t like is mirroring some part of you that’s unconscious, and you’ve called it in to awaken you. Pluto is squaring Uranus, so when people or aspects of life feel oppressive, slow down and check in with yourself. The intensity in relationships right now is off the charts!

Have you given up your power and called in a bully or manipulator to reflect that? Or are you the dominant player? These are just two sides of one coin and Pluto often brings power struggles. If you’re confronted with this energy, don’t engage. I suggest that you withdraw and go within to discern what part you play in this drama.

Uranus squaring Pluto may compel you to seek freedom and authenticity wherever you feel trapped by life circumstances. Be brave and make those revolutionary changes – take the conscious leap!

Until you identify what’s out of alignment, you can’t make an effective correction. Therefore, it will serve you to do explore what’s really happening beneath the surface when you experience a relationship challenge of any kind.

You may discover that you are operating in ways that surprise or even horrify you – not at all what you intended! – but don’t resist the information. Awareness provides you with the opportunity to heal shadow energy – and please seek help if you aren’t able to correct it yourself.

Jupiter (expansion, more) is opposite Venus (love, $$, pleasure) indicating strong desires for love, passion and potential excess, so beware of overdoing it. Too much of anything will shift you out of balance.

Remember the principle of the Tao – Yin (Divine Feminine) and Yang (Awakened Masculine)

They are two parts of the whole, and both need to be developed for optimal functioning.

All is in Divine order.

Be compassionate with yourself and with others and remember that everyone (including you!) is doing the best they can. ♥
