New Moon in Scorpio – Oct 26, ’11

The New Moon is the time for new beginnings, so start something – whether you pursue a dream, goal, idea, plan or project.

Set your intention and then put attention on what you want to grow or create and ride the wave as you allow the Lunar energy to support you. Utilize the energy of regeneration to create a breakthrough!

The New Moon is in the deep, passionate sign of Scorpio which rules issues around power, control and transformation – what to release and what to keep in your life.

Scorpio rules metamorphosis by deconstructing what’s no longer viable and then the rebirth creates a “cosmic upgrade.” The ultimate result is transcendence over old, stale non-working patterns, structures and relationships.

Emotions are intensified and your desires are strong, so check your motives before you act: are you in integrity seeking to contribute to the greater good – or are you operating from ego-driven, fear-based or selfish desires?

Watch for obsessive thinking, which can blind you to the big picture. Examine your current choices and make decisions with consciousness from your Higher Self. This is real empowerment.

What can you release in order to create emotional balance so you step into your power?

Projection is a Scorpio domain, ruled by the unconscious. Know that behaviors that bother you in others are for you to explore within yourself.

Please don’t miss the opportunity to evolve, awaken and integrate unconscious beliefs that block your heart, often created by living in judgment of others, no matter how it’s disguised (caring, analysis, etc.).

Remember, those who are in their power have no need to dominate or control – they feel safe and secure knowing that they are operating in integrity, aligned with the greater good.

It takes courage to let go of the familiar and step into the void until the next step or way of being is revealed – and this is part of the process of transformation.

Trust in the cycles of life, knowing that whatever comes up that is uncomfortable or dark has come up to be recognized and healed, released or integrated.

Check in with yourself and examine the ways in which you give up your power and then commit to releasing behaviors and old ways of being that don’t serve you.  It is time!

Mercury Retrograde!

We continue in Mercury Retrograde, which dictates the flow of information and affects communications and interactions in ways we won’t fully understand until Mercury goes Direct in late August.

Tread carefully and consciously to keep things smooth and be prepared to be as flexible as possible in order to avoid stress.

As Mercury retrogrades, it opposes Neptune, which has backed into Aquarius until Feb ’12. This adds to the confusion in communication and information for the next few weeks, so be prepared to go slowly and be really patient!

Mars, Pluto & Uranus T-Square  

We’re entering the energy of upheaval,  volatility and deconstruction this week as three of the power planets interact in a stressful setup. Pluto (power/transformation) opposes Mars (warrior/maverick) and they’re both squared by Uranus (the rebel/unexpected change). Yikes!

The potential for liberation and undoing is great and it’s being played out via our political and economic systems, as veils are are lifted and we see the reality of non-working structures that have been in operation for years. Although this is necessary for our evolution, it doesn’t mean the process is pretty or pleasant.

Staying in balance and maintaining self-care is extremely important during times of turbulence, so my suggestion that you create space for yourself is especially timely.

Avoid confrontations, challenges or any aggressive interactions. If you are confronted, do not engage in power struggles as it won’t serve you. Extricate yourself as quickly and gracefully as possible and process what happened later.

Above all, act from your highest self. If  you are upset or if someone is upset with you and you truly don’t understand why,  be curious when pondering what may have created the situation and accept that there may be a misunderstanding. This is an open state of being that allows for connection later, if it makes sense.

If you experience any “undoing” in your life, rather than trying to hold it together, check in to see if this is something you need to release for your highest good. Be open to possibilities and don’t be rigid – don’t block the gifts!

Know that these energies can also bring you unexpected opportunities, so be available for blessings to arrive in your life by holding the vision of what you want to create.

During tense energies, remember to stay in your heart and view everything through the lens of compassion. Hold the vibration of love and it will serve you well ♥.

The Lunar Eclipse was on the North Node of Destiny and the Galactic Core of the Milky Way, channeling major  energies to support your further awakening.

Maybe something that you’ve always considered to be ‘”true” has turned out not to be exactly as you thought it was (or vice versa). Even a slight shift in perspective can make a BIG difference in your experience of life!

Summer Solstice/Sun in Cancer
June 21st, ’11

The Summer Solstice occurs as the Sun enters the sensitive, emotional sign of Cancer on Tues, June 21st – the longest day of the year and the official beginning of summer.

This is yet another energetic shift to add to the mix – and Cancer is ruled by the ever-fluctuating Moon.

Lots of feelings and focus on home, family, food, nurturing, care, and issues regarding emotional safety and security are prominent. Feelings can color your thoughts and judgment, so take that into consideration when making decisions and get clear before acting.

If you are feeling more sensitive than usual, take extra good care of yourself by creating space, slowing down, and doing what you can to avoid stress.

You can help to manage your feelings by asking yourself, “What do I need right now?” and then creating healthy ways to fulfill your needs.

Connection, mothering (giving or receiving), and emotional warmth are all expressions of Cancer. Where do you feel emotionally connected – and to whom? Find those people (or puppies, or nature) when you need comfort and TLC and hook into the stream of love and goodness!

We have a New Moon/Solar Eclipse in the friendly, curious, highly active sign of Gemini on Wed, June 1st – talk about starting the month off with bang!

The New Moon is always the time for new beginnings so be prepared to take  action directed toward what you want to create more of in your life. A Solar Eclipse is like a New Moon on steroids so take advantage of this energy!

Gemini rules information, all forms of communication, networking, education, classes (as teacher or student), workshops, community, the media, contracts, email, your iPad, iPhone, your Blackberry and ground transportation.

Is there a conversation you need to have, a communication you’ve been avoiding or a class you’ve wanted to register for?  Is it time to create or update your website or is there information you need to obtain in order to make a decision?

Are you ready to sign a contract or enter into an agreement? This is a stellar day to take an action that will enable you to move forward (pun intended!).

Do you need to network for business, join a meet-up group to  expand your horizons (business or social), or are you ready for online dating? Are there songs you want to download or are you ready to pursue public speaking?

These are all Gemini activities: networking, multi-tasking, blogging, and social media (Facebook, Linked In, Twitter).

This is the Internet era and you tech-phobic people need to get with the program! Take baby steps and let people  help you learn how to maneuver so that you can participate in the activity – this is how business is done and how we communicate now, so it’s time to get in the game!

The Eclipse Period

We have three Eclipses in the coming month:

June 1st – Solar Eclipse @ 11 degrees of Gemini

June 15th – Lunar Eclipse @ 24 degrees of Sagittarius

July 1st – Solar Eclipse @ 9 degrees of Cancer

Emotions run high around eclipses and you can expect the unexpected as well as fated events, so be prepared to be flexible. Eclipses can either clear huge obstacles or manifest potential challenges and things usually happen quickly.

If you’re confronted with an unexpected situation or event, take a moment to assess where you are and let the dust settle, if possible.

There’s a saying, “Don’t just do something, sit there!”  Use that guidance when anxiety triggers you to act prematurely or reactively, which doesn’t serve your highest good.

Please don’t judge events that happen around an Eclipse as “good” or “bad” because you don’t know what the big picture is and know that more will be revealed.

Here is general info about Eclipses so that you’ll recognize the ways they can manifest and how you can work with the energy.

* The energy lasts for about six weeks – you feel it two weeks before the 1st Eclipse (in this case, Solar) and two weeks between the Eclipses, and then two weeks after the last Eclipse (in this case again, Solar)

* Eclipses have a “Uranian” quality – expect sudden changes, unpredictable events, moments of fate and fated events

* Eclipses indicate “unnatural acts” (check the news) – and you may feel unnatural around an Eclipse

* Things may seem out of proportion during an Eclipse

* The story that opened up during the last set of eclipses is in effect until the next one (the last set was in late Dec ’10/early Jan ’11 – what was going on for you then?)

* Themes and issues will be revisited – what has been suppressed or denied in your life for the last six months?  Time to address it!

* Eclipses can bring important contacts into your life – or take people out of your life

* Solar eclipses are about beginnings (New Moons)

* Lunar eclipses are about endings or the culmination of things (Full Moons)

* People may overreact, be overly emotional, tense, and are often controlling due to feelings of powerlessness

* On the day of an eclipse you are “in the dark,” so relax into “easy does it” mode as much as possible

Although the Sun moves into Gemini on Sat, May 21st, we still have Mercury, Venus and Mars in Taurus all connected to powerful Pluto over the weekend facilitating grounded, practical, smart financial decisions if you’re paying attention!

Because Pluto is aspecting Venus (love, $$, values), Mars (will, action), and Mercury (thinking, communication), the potential to evolve to higher expressions of your Self is available and supported by these aspects.

I suggest that you take advantage of the energy by examining these ideas:

Mercury - do you have a clear intention for your life and for your daily process, or do you unconsciously live through the same daily grind? Do you monitor your thoughts (positive/negative), are your beliefs supportive, and do you speak your truth?

Venus - what do you value, do you value yourself,  what are your beliefs about love – and what makes life worth living for you? Is your heart open? Do you give more than you receive?

Mars – do you decide what you will create or just take what is given to you? Are you connected to your passion? How do you get what you want?

As you prepare for the coming Eclipses, you have the opportunity to raise your vibration by aligning your thoughts and actions consciously. NOW is the time!

You have so much more power than you realize to become who you came here to be. You have a destiny, a purpose and it’s time to connect with that if you haven’t already.

The Sun in Taurus is joined by Mars, providing stamina to work more diligently. It will be joined by Venus and Mercury in Taurus next week, creating even greater stability and grounding.

Venus in Mars connects you to the physical comforts of life and enhances love, affection and $$. This is a good time to make major purchases or renegotiate terms if you need to, so take advantage of this financially supportive energy.

By Monday we have a stellium (4 or more planets in one sign) in Taurus, which creates grounding and steady persistence – and from the 18th until next weekend the stellium trines Pluto, allowing for powerful energy to transform your circumstances. Yay!

Full Moon in Scorpio – May 17, ’11

The Full Moon in Scorpio is on Tuesday, May 17th early in the morning in the U.S.  This is a sacred and profound Full Moon, known as the “Wesak Festival,” which honors the birth, awakening and death of the Buddha.

It is an optimal time for prayer and meditation as you open to messages that want to come through for you. Just so you know, Taurus is a “yin” sign of fertility, and Scorpio is the sign of transformation, so allow for whatever is within you that is ready to be birthed or reborn to come through.

With Pluto trining the stellium in Taurus, take time to focus on what you want to create and then take advantage of this phenomenal energy by taking deliberate actions! Taurus and Scorpio are both financially friendly signs with great power to manifest and transform circumstances and resources.

Commit to yourself and your creations, as you tap into the energy of these two powerful signs during this time of pre-Eclipse stability.

Current Events – April 29th

Although this week we enter the month of May and the New Moon in Taurus late Mon night, we still have a LOT of planets in Aries. This gives us an abundance of fiery, impulsive, red-hot energy flying around, ready to jump into action.

At the same time, it’s opposed by Saturn, the Great Teacher (or strict parent), who requires that you be accountable for the words, actions and structures you create. Thankfully, Saturn is grounding all that Aries fire, so I see the opposition as a good thing.

Think of it as a “reality check,” or being forced to think things through before you take a leap or suffer the consequences if you don’t! Know that when something appears to go/be “wrong,” it’s a message that something is out of alignment and a course correction is needed. Remember you can always “undo/redo” and then do the next right thing.

Moral of the story: The more conscious you are, the less drama there is!

New Moon in Taurus

Late Monday night, early Tuesday morning we have a New Moon in the earthy, sensual, fertile sign of Taurus.

The New Moon is the time for new beginnings – the natural time to begin cycles, as you are supported by the energy that rules the tides of the oceans.

The New Moon is when you would normally take action, but on this New Moon, we go right into a long Moon Void of Course, so you need to wait to take action if you want a successful outcome to occur.

The Moon Void of Course is really affecting how we move these days for those who want to be in alignment with the rhythm of the Universe. I’m so “in it” – and the enforced time to go within and do spiritual, creative and routine activities has been supportive and productive, I must say.

Taurus is the sign that rules values – what you value and how you value yourself, so check in and see if you’re treating yourself as the valued, precious being that you are. Do you honor yourself – does the way you treat yourself indicate that? I hope so. Venus, ruler of Taurus, rules your consciousness around money, prosperity and abundance.

If you find yourself overspending, trying to fill a void by acquiring more, living with a belief in lack or fear regarding money, this is the time to take action to rectify whatever is out of balance in your life relating to money.

Are you a good receiver? Can you accept compliments joyfully without deflecting or complimenting the other person back? Do you ask for help? Are you uncomfortable if someone makes a fuss over you, so you stop them? If the answer is “yes” to any of these questions, then receiving is a spiritual practice for you. Watch yourself and notice if you push things away – materially or energetically – by your discomfort with receiving. If so, practice allowing gifts in, whether they’re compliments, gifts, assistance or small gestures. You can’t receive money or love if you can’t receive! Let people love you by receiving!

Taurus loves physical comfort, good food, it honors the body, sensuality and the earth, so you may want to indulge yourself with a massage, have a fabulous meal, lounge around in bed in the morning (on the good sheets!), take a luxurious bath, get fresh flowers, walk barefoot in the grass or on the beach, or just slow down and relax – this earthy sign is very patient and doesn’t like to rush for any reason.

Take conscious actions and to honor the Taurus New Moon, really practice receiving and feeling pleasure so you can live in balance (yin and yang) and to be in the flow. You are worth it!

The Full Moon on Sunday, April 17th is called a SuperMoon – very close to the Earth, amplifying the Moon’s  emotional and psychological energy even more so than a regular Full Moon, so be sure to stay grounded, breathe, and move deliberately.

This Full Moon in Libra highlights relationships – the ultimate mirror. Whatever you see in the “other” is really a reflection of you, so use this information as feedback so you can make changes wherever necessary.

You don’t have to be stuck in victimhood, be critical or withhold love as a form of punishment. If you experience any of these, it’s time for a deeper look and a course correction so that you can step into your empowered Self.

The higher expression of the Aries Sun and Libra Moon is the rebalancing of the masculine and feminine energies within you – and yes, all men and women embody both energies. If you are identified with only one, there is an imbalance that is calling for correction in order for you to operate from wholeness.

The Sacred Masculine takes courageous action with integrity for the greater good and the Divine Feminine transmits compassion, peace, harmony and the energy of Oneness. We all can aspire to those ideals.

Consider this: there are five planets in fiery Aries (one of them is Mercury retrograde), and Pluto is still in a holding pattern,  creating intensity and activating unconscious energy that wants to be integrated.

Any upheaval you are experiencing is a Plutonian energy of unwinding of an old, non-working structure or pattern – or the birth of a deeply buried energy that is ready to be revealed.

Either way, it’s a sacred process that requires you to operate with consciousness and allow yourself deep care.

All the Aries energy really makes you want to DO something and it can be extra-uncomfortable to be patient, waiting for “the new birth” to arrive (whatever that may be).

This New Moon in strong-willed Aries on April 3rd will be combustible. Six planets in Aries wanting to take off and go, with Saturn in opposition and Pluto squaring the bunch.

Authority and relationship issues feature prominently, as well as potential power struggles and control issues. Easy does it and don’t engage if communications get heated. Just let it go for now… step out and reconnect if necessary when everyone calms down.

You may be impatient to move forward but you will likely encounter obstacles or speed bumps that slow you down. If you become annoyed or frustrated as plans are delayed, practice restraint and flexibility for best results and fewer problems to rectify later.

Mercury is Retrograde  so your patterns of thinking, communicating, your learning and everything about the way you move through life are up for review during this three week period. Make good use of this opportunity to fine tune and uplevel your expression in the world.

Jupiter, planet of expansion connects with the Sun/Moon combo, urging you to jump into the next big idea or to take on MORE but be mindful, as the Great Teacher, Saturn, is opposing those three planets making you accountable for every move you make. Consciousness is key in order to avoid drama.

And, since Mercury is Retrograde, none of the new plans are going to fall into place without constant tweaking and extra work, so don’t overdo it in your enthusiasm.

The Aries New Moon is the traditional time to make your Treasure Map – or Vision Board of what you want to create this year.  If you want an activity to focus your nonlinear energy on this weekend, create your vision for the year either by making art, music, playing in nature or by journaling.

Dream big – we’re headed into 2012!

We have four planets in Aries (with three more on the way in April),  keeping the pace active and sometimes combustible, as Aries is tremendously willful.

The higher expression of Aries is courageous leadership and the lower expression is a selfish, narcissistic “My way or the highway!” attitude. You always choose how you experience life and express yourself, so with all this fiery energy please be mindful while moving through life at this time especially. Whenever you can, slow it down just a bit.

Venus/Neptune Conjunction

The next energy that we  encounter this weekend is the  dreamy, beautiful Venus-Neptune conjunction, which can lift you beyond the harshness of the current 3D landscape of war, devastation and pain into beauty and Divine Love.

This is Earthly love, compassion, empathy, beauty and Divine Love combined – and interestingly, Elizabeth Taylor personified. Elizabeth was a Pisces (ruled by Neptune) and how fitting that she should transition right before this conjunction – as if she’s personally being welcomed into heaven.

During Venus/Neptune energy, you may either idealize love or open to love in its higher expression – with compassion, empathy and spaciousness – allowing your partner to “be” without having to cater to your unmet needs. This pertains to all relationships, not just romance, by the way.

Want to take the high road in relationship? Take responsibility for your own happiness and then bring your happy, fulfilled self to the party. That’s powerful – so rather than waiting to be completed by another, fill your own well. Then you can attract a partner who is operating from the same level of consciousness!

That’s high level Venus/Neptune energy. Or if you have a partner, make an agreement to each take responsibility for your own well being rather than pointing the finger at each other for what’s missing. Love is the ultimate transformer and this energy can be used to soften, open and evolve. Use it well!

Jupiter Opposing Saturn

Jupiter is expansion and Saturn is security and “the way we’ve always done it.” With these two in opposition you can expect to have to be accountable for any changes you’ve made or are in the process of making. Think of it as a reality check if you’ve recently expanded.

Does one part of you want to grow and another want to stay safe with the familiar? You may experience this internally or externally, with you playing either part in the dynamic. The guidance? Take methodical actions to expand your world – create movement with consciousness.

Mercury Retrograde – March 30 to April 23

You will have time to readjust and  revamp your life during the three week Mercury Retrograde period.

1. If you’re going to begin something new, do it this coming week, because by March 28th Mercury will be slowing down to turn around.
